SÃO PAULO DE LAZER AGRADA O VISITANTE

Pesquisa realizada pelo órgão oficial de Turismo da Prefeitura de São Paulo (SPTuris) revela que a cidade, ao contrário do que se imagina dentro e fora do Brasil, é bastante procurada pelas opções de lazer que oferece. 56% dos turistas que vem a São Paulo se encaixam neste perfil de procura e mais, 94% dos 1324 entrevistados se declaram felizes com sua visita à cidade e pretendem voltar. Vale lembrar a pesquisa publicada na Reader´s Digest em 2006 que elegeu São Paulo a 5.a cidade mais gentil do mundo, atrás de Nova York, Zurique, Toronto e Berlim. (fonte: OESP 9/09/07)

SAO PAULO ATTRACTIONS PLEASE VISITORS

Research donde by Sao Paulo’s official Tourism institute (SPTuris) reveals that the city, contrary to the impression held locally and internatonally, is sought due to the attractions that it has to offer. 56% of the tourists that come to Sao Paulo fit this profile and more, 94% of the 1324 interviewed declared themselves satisfied with their visit to the city and pretend to return. Good to remember the research published by the Reader´s Digest in 2006 that elected Sao Paulo as the 5 th nicest city of the world, behind New York, Zurich, Toronto and Berlin. MAIS PARQUE II

Seguem os planos da Prefeitura de São Paulo para devolver ao Parque do Ibirapuera parte dos 1.5 milhão de m2 que perdeu desde a sua criação em 1905. O alvo agora é o terreno de 22,5 mil m2 que pertence ao Centro Acadêmico da Escola de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo (USP), avaliado em R$ 100 milhões e contestado em nome de uma divida que o Centro Acadêmico mantém com o Município. EXPRESSO AEROPORTO

Sairá este mês o edital do Expresso Aeroporto, a linha de trem que ligará o centro de São Paulo ao Aeroporto Internacional de Guarulhos em 22 minutos. 6 km da linha serão elevados, parte deles sobre a área de preservação ambiental do Parque Ecológico do Tietê, o que divide a opinião de especialistas sobre o impacto ambiental das obras previstas para serem concluídas em 2010.(fonte: OESP 30/08/07)

YOKO VEM AÍ

Yoko Ono virá a São Paulo em novembro para exposição no Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil e uma única apresentação de performance em teatro ainda não confirmado. São Paulo será a única cidade no Brasil visitada desta vez pela viúva de John Lennon. (OESP 1/09/07)

EXPRESS AIRPORT

The editorial Expresso Aeroporto will come out this month, the train track that will connect the center of Sao Paulo to the International airport of Guarulhos in 22 minutes. 6 km of track will be lifted, part of them over the environmentally preserved area of the Ecological Park of Tiete, which divides the opinion of the specialists about the environmental impact of the works to be concluded in 2010.

YOKO IS COMMING

Yoko Ono will come to Sao Paulo in november for an exposition at Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil and a unique performance presentation in a theater not yet confirmed. São Paulo will be the only city visited this time by John Lennon’s widow. (OESP 1/09/07)

MASP MUDA

Museu de Arte de São Paulo (MASP) fecha seu acervo permanente até 2/10 para reestruturação física e conceitual e o edifício também ganha reparos: espelhos d´agua, pintura dos pilares e limpeza do vidros. MUSEU EXEMPLAR DA LINGUA

O Museu da Língua Portuguesa, na Estação da Luz, servirá de modelo ao Museu da Língua Inglesa da Universidade de Winchester, na Inglaterra. O gerente do projeto inglês visitou as instalações recentemente para levar o exemplo para casa. (fonte: OESP 7/09/07)

MASP CHANGES

The Museum of Art of Paulo (MASP) closes its permanent collection until 2/10 for its physical and conceptual restructuring and the building will also gain some repairs: water mirrors, painting of the columns and window cleaning. EXEMPLARY LANGUAGE MUSEUM

The Museum of the Portuguese Language, at the Estação da Luz, will serve as model for the Museum of the English Language of the University of Winchester, in England. The project administrator of the english project recently visited the premises to take the example home. (source: OESP 7/09/07)
